The Des Moines Catholic Workers and the Des Moines Vets for Peace invited Iowans to join Ban Killer Drone activists nationally focusing on Drone Command Centers to say “Don’t Look Away” from Afghans enduring attacks, displacement and funding freezes.
At the main entrance of the Iowa Air Guard Drone Command Center, on Monday Nov 29th at noon, local Ban Killer Drone campaign activists held a one-hour vigil in memory of ten people who were killed in Kabul when a U.S. Predator drone fired a Hellfire Missile into the family’s courtyard.
