Erica Johnson, Director of the AFSC Iowa Immigrant Rights Program, led the organizing of an Iowa Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Messaging Workshop with Opportunity Agena. About 40 people from across Iowa talked about ways to change hearts and minds for the long term and how to develop a narrative strategy. Workshop attendees considered the question "Who is your audience," and how do you tailor your message for strong supporters, those in the middle, and those who largely oppose your position.
