Iowans gathered across the state to protest ICE's arrest of 32 immigrant workers at a plant in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. In Des Moines, Madeline Cano of Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement (CCI) and Kenia Calderon, a former AFSC staffer, led a vigil at the Federal Building demanding the release of those arrested, support for their families, and an end to the terror which ICE is inflicting upon communities in Iowa and across the country.
