Thirty-five Iowans lobbied the staff of U.S. Senators Joni Ernst and Charles Grassley in a solidarity action with faith leaders at the Tijuana/San Diego border. The group called for the US government to respect the human right to migrate, end the militarization of the border, and end the detention and deportation of immigrants. A message of solidarity was also projected onto the Federal Building.
